The Boston Firefighters will aid the families of their fallen brothers by competing against Pleasure Bay Lounge, the South Boston Softball League champions, in a softball game for the benefit of the Vendome Fire Fund tomorrow night at 7:30 o'clock at the Lee Playground, M Street.

Manny Gregorio, player-manager for the Firefighters, predicts that the Southie champs will have their hands full with the firefighters team. Many local boys will be playing for the Firefighters, including the starting battery of Mike Sheehan, pitcher, and heavy-hitting Peter Gailunas, catcher.

Manager Billy O'Neil of the Pleasure Bay Lounge will send his ace, Bob "Chick" Noonan against the talent loaded Firefighters team. Chick's catcher will be Bob Prendergast, League all-star catcher.

Representative Raymond Flynn, league commissioner, urges everyone to attend and enjoy top flight softball and also contribute to a very worthy fund through a voluntary collection.

In league play, at this writing, Pleasure Bay has clinched first place, with the I.A. Restaurant in second. The battle for third continuews with Amrhein's and Old Towne Tavern tied with 13-6 records. If they remain tied, a one game playoff will be decided tonight.
