"The Brian Wallace Club is the finest team we have ever had in South Boston," stated Deny Crowe. This summed up the feeling of most as the Wallace Club up-ended Mac's Cafe last Friday night at M Street park to win the South Boston Softball league championship.

Bob Noonan was his usual self in limiting Mac's to just two hits in the final game. Jimmy Ridge, ace Wallace shortstop, and big Bob Dunkle drew the applause of the large crowd with long homeruns. In the third game of the series Dunkle hit a homerun over the left field fence.
