Mac's Cafe came roaring back with two straight wins over Melchie's Smoke Shop in the South Boston Softball League playoffs to earn the right to meet the Brian Wallace Club in a three out of five series, which started Monday evening at M Street park.

Melchie's won the first game rather handely 16-3, and things looked very dim for Mac's. However, the next two evenings Mac's were a completely different team. As they put together a solid defense and a potent hitting attack to eliminate Melchie's from championship consideration. The score of the final game was 4-3 in favor of Mac's.

In the other series, the Wallace Club defeated Commonwealth Chevrolet in two straight games and advanced into the finals as the considered favorites.
