L Street Tavern 11 - Bay View Liquors 10
In a game that featured three homeruns, L Street outlasted Bay View. Tom Dickey hit his second homer of the season and teamate Rob Wright connected for his first. Bay View's Scott Maginnis pulled his team within two runs when he homered to left in the bottom of the fifth.

Citystyle 12 - corner Tavern 3
Bobby Wogan hit a grand slam in the second inning and Citystyle never looked back winning their sixth game in a row. The win knocked the Corner Tavern out of first place and pushed Citystyle to the top. After starting out 6-0, the Corner Tavern is finding it dificult to win a game lately.

Shannon's 15 - DJ Linnehans 3
Chis Crowley hit two homeruns and drove in 5 runs as Shannon's Tavern walloped Dj's. Shannon's had all of the pieces working for them as pitcher Jay Malley pitched another strong game and was backed by great defense. Also homering for Shanon's was Steve Muldowney who hit a towering homerun to right field.

League Notes
In off the field news, this past weekend fifteen players of the Corner Tavern and Citystyle softball teams left their gloves at the field and joined together for a Sega golf and hockey tournament. The tourney lasted throughout the day and into Saturday night. Scott Grant netted the hockey title and Timmy Ostiguy won the golf tournament. Plenty of laughs were shared by all who participated. mike "Late Night Chef" Linskey nearly brought the house down when he tried to lite the old kitchen stove. Although quick to turn the gas on, Mike was a bit slow in in getting a match lit and placed down near the pilot. By the time he did the old oven was filled with gas and the result was a quick burst of flame. Luckily, nobody was hurt but Billy Collins was so close, he could give you the specific details of the inferno.
